Junior Fellow Publication

A personal reference guide produced for the next junior fellows working on the BA Graphic Design course at UWE. Detailing some of my top tips, handy recipes and potential developments for the post of fellow.

Visitor-Friend-Sister publication

On the 4th July 2009, I started a small journey across England to explore three cities in three days, touring parts of the country I’d never visited. This was an opportunity to partake in an event celebrating the diversity of a city, to visit my sister in a different environment, meet new friends and discovering new surroundings. This is an experimental document of my observations and experiences as a friend, visitor and sister.

Mapping

An interactive map encouraging local residents to discover their surroundings by exploring cafes, shops and parks and document their findings by colour coding the map accordingly.

An observation of my local high street, documenting social interactions, the use of public space and the function of the high street.

Documenting

A collection of publications documenting social interactions and conversations encountered during a series of interventions.

The Hermit's Beard

This book is a collective tale that has been comprised through a game of consequences, allowing each participant to control the structure and content of their interpretation of the story.

Practice

My first tangible response to 'The Library of Babel' by Jorge Luis Borges, which looks at the formal qualities and structure of books.

Precious Book

This book has been made in response to text from Jorge Luis Borges's 'The Library of Babel', it consists of individual's interpretations of what they consider to be their most precious book, ranging from a Textbook of Clinical Medicine to Mr Men.
